I offer a variety of workshops for family child care providers, trainers, and tax preparers. My workshops cover five main content areas:


I typically teach these workshops in 2-hour sessions (often 3 hours for Record Keeping and Taxes). However, I can teach these workshops to fit whatever length of time a sponsor wishes. So, if you want a one-hour session on Contracts and another hour on Marketing, I can do it.

My workshops for trainers cover the same topic areas cited above. These workshops will help those attending to be able to teach the topic to others and to better answer questions from family child care providers on business issues. The train-the-trainer sessions are usually custom designed based on the needs of the sponsor of the training. For my trainer workshops I use my Family Child Care Business Curriculum (forthcoming from Redleaf Press).

My workshops for tax preparers include an annual tax training in St. Paul, Minnesota in November. I've spoken at the annual conferences of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Society of Enrolled Agents, and other state and local chapters of these organizations.

I also offer more customized training to meet your particular needs. I've given many keynote presentations and other specialized trainings.
